Manhattan POS understands that retailers work hard at all hours of the day.  A dedicated team of employers with over two decades of experience help to provide a wide range of point-of-sale solutions that are easy to set up and execute. We focus on solutions!

This company was founded based on its comprehensive understanding of the hospitality and technology industries.

With over two decades of combined professional know-how, a partnership was formed in the state of New York. Manhattan POS has offices in the heart of Manhattan as well as Long Island.  Staff and management have worked for some of the world’s most prestigious hotels, restaurants, bars, country clubs and night clubs.  Also serving Wall Street, consulting industries and the entertainment industries.

A repertoire of customizable point-of-sale products fully encompasses the needs of the hospitality industry.  Products include point-of-sale systems, security camera systems, liquor tracking, credit and gift card processing, and strategic partnerships in telecom, internet service, and financing.

Point-of-sales solutions enable retailers to accept payments, sell in-store and online, manage inventory, reward customer loyalty and generate internal reports in real-time.

Systems can also seamlessly integrate with other useful tools for accounting, employee scheduling and many other features.


James E. Cawdron – Owner

James Cawdron-Serial entrepreneur, Business Consultant, Foodie

James spent his formative years in his parent’s pub and hotels. He continued his studies by enrolling in Hotel School.  For a brief stint he worked as a chef. After stints at Gleneagles in Scotland (home of the Ryder Cup 2014), the famous Savoy Hotel in London, P&O Cruises, , and numerous restaurants on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Working mostly in management James was charged with creating greater efficiencies.  Greater efficiencies are the result of incorporating technology.  His extensive understanding of the hospitality industry and operational and organizational nuances provided an acute understanding of the technology necessary to meet retailer’s needs especially within the hospitality industry.


Acorn Payment Processing and Doctor Pay are two additional companies owned by James.  These entities specialize in merchant services, credit and gift card processing, mobile payments, e.g. Apple Pay and Level Up.

James also serves as consultant to companies Gerson Lehrman, Guidepoint Global, and ExpertConnect.

Leslie M. Gold – Brains

After receiving her B.A. in Computer Science and completing 15 years in Corporate America at Coopers & Lybrand, Smith Barney and Time Inc, where she directed technology teams, Leslie started her third company, LJC Resources. LJC Resources provides Information Technology Specialists to clients. The technology talent pool available from LJC Resources adds to the breadth of services offered by Manhattan POS. Leslie owns multiple companies spanning Marketing, Tech and Real Estate.

Christopher Boerger – Documentation and Training

Christopher has an extensive background in training and believes you can have fun while learning a new skill. He was a corporate trainer as part of the Red Robin Gourmet Hamburgers New Restaurant Opening Team where he established himself as a leader with a “Top Down” approach to training. In 2008 he moved to New York City to be a trainer for a corporate recruiting firm. He also is an instructor of improv comedy at Gotham City Improv, teaching everyone from actors to corporate personnel how to work together in a team as well as giving his students the tools to step out of their own comfort zones.
